v Smithtown Rd 11

The U13's produced one of their best ever all round performances in their 56-0 victory at home against Smithtown.

Right from the start the Tigers showed a lot of aggression and urgency in defence. The boys were getting up off the line quickly and communicating with each other well, which is something they have been trying to improve. Everybody turned up, and there were some real big hits on display.

In attack, there were some real impressive moments. Clay Perkins, Charley Townley and Steve Borg made strong runs all day with Perkins a big line break. Sam Bekis continues to impress at fullback in both attack and defence. Forwards Jacob Gardner, Alex Howard and David Styles made big runs. Himayet Robinson continually combining with Toby Kinnear, with either a tip on, hit and spin or offload, saw Kinnear go on some long raids down the field. Brady Atkins and Simon Walker produced their best games of the season, with Walker taking the line on and making some darting runs. Logan Jones had a field day scoring 6 tries and having a hand in 4 others. Some of the tries even put a smile on the coaching staff's face. Jones' combination with U12's Finn Stephens really shone, with Stevens diving on a Jones grubber kick to score the 1st try, and then to back up and run onto a Jones offload to score in the corner.

A big thankyou to the U12's, Finn Stephens, Zac Single, Lachie Craggs, Luke Fitzgerald and Oshay Tyreman for backing up and playing outstanding!!!

Great work from the team, this is the 2nd time this season the Tigers have kept a team to zero, now let's keep it rolling!!!
