v Woolgoolga

A win in this home game against the Woolgoolga Seahorses would secure a semi finals birth for the Bowra 13's. That must've  given the boys a bit of extra motivation for this game, they trained hard, and really need to be commended for their performance, with the result ending in a 52-0 win. With this score line, it brings the Tigers total in the last 2 weeks to 110-0!!! Every player is showing real commitment to each other and coming and doing their jobs for the team.

The Seahorses came out and tried really hard, but the Tigers weathered the storm and gave them no answers. The defence, led by forwards Himayet Robinson, Toby Kinnear, Tyrell West, David Styles, and Brady Atkins, and supported by Jacob Gardner, Zac  Single and Luke Fitzgerald was like a brick wall, with some really hard tackles on display. Woolgoolgas backline could not get through or around  the Tigers Steve Borg, Keith Donovan, Logan Jones and Clay Perkins.

In attack, the Tigers looked sharp, as they scored some spectacular team tries. Alex Howard was involved early with some strong runs. Atkins got the 1st try sneaking his way over. Sam Bekis, who is looking more and more dangerous every game, did some great work to not get trapped in his own in goal, which helped Jones get a length the field try.  Himayet Robinson who had a massive game, carried 3 players, offloaded with a flick pass to send Tyrell West, who was great in his comeback game, down the sideline. Then he tipped on to Jones, who threw a cut out pass to send Big Toby Kinnear on a 40m barnstorming run to the try line. Charley Townley made a long weaving break from a kick return to get us out of trouble. Halftime read 20-0.

After the break Robinson shrugged off defenders and raced 40m to score. Keith Donovan and Steve Borg look dangerous whenever they touch the ball with their damaging runs. Simon Walker who helped organise the team around well, scored a brilliant try, stepping and determinedly reaching and slamming the ball down. Atkins and Finn Stephens fooled everybody from dummy half and scoring tries. O'shay Tyreman backed up well to score a fine try.

Let's carry this great form, dedication and commitment into the semi's.

A big Thankyou to the U12's Luke Fitzgerald, Zac Single, O'shay Tyreman and Finn Stephens for backing up.
